Exploring on Our Own Feet
Our learning extends beyond Japan to the wider world, and beyond campus to diverse local communities.
Students immerse themselves in real-world challenges, such as scuba diving to support coral conservation, or using drones to explore solutions for human–wildlife coexistence. Through these experiences, they identify and try to answer their own questions, and pursue inquiry-driven learning.
By experiencing real-world challenges with all five senses, students connect knowledge with action, test ideas in practice, learn from failure, and carry those insights forward into deeper learning.
Encountering the Various Types of People
Across regions and national borders, students engage with local people who are tackling community challenges, municipal leaders, experts, researchers, working professionals, and entrepreneurs—encountering cultures and values that challenge their conventional ways of thinking.
Co-Creating New Frontiers
By partnering with local communities, students co-create value beyond what any individual could achieve and open up new frontiers.
